Bobby Zamora has pledged his future to Fulham as he has signed a new four year deal with the Premier League side.
The twenty nine year old's contract runs out at the end of the new season but he will now remain at the club until 2014, despite rumours that Liverpool were interested in him over the summer.
Zamora really caught everyone's attention last season as he netted nineteen goals for Fulham during the domestic season as well as helping the side get to the Europa League final.
He was expected to feature in Fabio Capello's World Cup squad to South Africa but was ruled out because of injury. But he got his first international cap in a friendly against Hungary last month.
Fulham manager Mark Hughes said: We're delighted that Bobby has signed. It was important to tie him down to a new contract. Bobby's a focal point of what we're trying to do here and is an important figure in the team and dressing room.
"This new contract is just reward for his efforts in recent times. He's playing exceptionally well at the moment. I've been very impressed in the short time I've worked with him. I quickly came to understand the quality he has."
Fulham have made a solid start to the Premier League season with three draws to leave them on three points and currently fourteenth in the table, just one place below Liverpool.
They are back in action this weekend as they face Wolverhampton.
