Carlos Tevez Lacked Motivation After World Cup

Carlos Tevez has revealed that he lost his motivation after Argentina's quarter final exit from the World Cup.

Tevez returned to training with the rest of the Manchester City side yesterday as the club prepares for the 2010/11 season, which kicks off next weekend.

Speaking to Sky Sports Tevez said: "We returned to Argentina the morning after we lost against Germany.

"But we flew in economy instead of business. The AFA directors put us at the bottom of the plane, as we were chickens, all together.

"The players tried their best and did not deserve such disrespect because we still played some good games and entertained in South Africa.

"I'm trying to motivate myself, because the World Cup was my goal. For the first time in my life, I'm having problems to find something that motivates me."

But after a rest Tevez is ready to help Manchester City push forward, after just missing out on Champions League football last season.

A source close to Tevez said: "A good rest has renewed his appetite and he is committed to City."

The side have two friendly matches this week against Borussia Dortmund and Valencia before kicking off the season away against Tottenham Hotspur away.
