Cesc Fabregas Has Dig At Manchester City

Cesc Fabregas has hit out at Manchester City claiming that they could not have beaten Arsenal this weekend even if they had had fifteen players on the pitch.

City went a man down after just five minutes in Sunday's clash when Dedruck Boyata was given a red card, going on to lose 3-0.

And while City did continue to battle for the next eighty five minutes Nasri, Song and Bendtner all found the back of the net for the London club.

Arsenal could afford not to panic when a Fabregas penalty was saved by Joe Hart and the captain couldn't help but have a dig at the northern side.

Speaking to The Sun after the match Fabregas said: "Even if they were 15 and we were 11 we would still have gone on and won.

"Whoever is in this team, we always want to go forward. The way we played it was very difficult to stop us.

"We played some outstanding football at times. It's very difficult to stop when you play at that tempo at that level."

With that win Arsenal are now second in the Premier League and are just five points behind rivals Chelsea.

"It's too early to talk about favourites or not. Chelsea are looking very strong but still have to play a lot of the big teams. We will see how they do against them but we have to keep calm.

"It was a victory against a good team - that's it. We kept our composure and I think we were fantastic."

Arsenal are in Carling Cup action in mid-week and will face Newcastle before playing West Ham at the weekend.
