Cesc Fabregas Signs For Barcelona

Cesc Fabregas has completed his move from Arsenal to Barcelona.

This is the second consecutive summer that the Arsenal captain had been linked with move to the Spanish giants and he underwent a medical at the club yesterday.

Fabregas left Barcelona back in 2003, at the age of sixteen, to move to London club - in those eight years he had become an integral part of the team and wore the captain's armband.

The deal is believed to be worth £35 million for Arsenal and Fabregas will be presented to the fans sometime this afternoon.

And while Fabregas has left Arsenal he thanked manager Arsene Wenger, speaking to the BBC he said: "I'll never have enough words to thank him for all he's done for me. I'll never forget him.

"I don't think he has such a good image here. He has been portrayed as something he's not, in my opinion. If today I am here with you, then it's greatly due to him.

"I can't express my admiration for him strongly enough, I owe it to him that I am here."

This comes as a blow for Wenger as Sami Nasri is also believed to be interested in a move away from the Emirates.
