Cristiano Ronaldo Wants To Face United

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he would love to face Manchester United in the Champions League final at Wembley.

Real Madrid dumped Tottenham Hotspur out of the competition in mid week 5-0 over both legs - with Ronaldo grabbing the only goal in the second leg.

The Portuguese player made the move from United to Real Madrid back in 2009 for £80 million but he would relish facing his old side.

Speaking to Sky Sports the Real Madrid striker said: "If you ask me if I want to play for Real Madrid against Manchester United in the final at Wembley then of course I will.

"I've still got a lot of friends there, memories. I had six great years there but we have to play Barcelona first and then we can see what's going on."

And while Ronaldo would like to face United in the final he knows that he cannot look any further that Madrid’s semi final clash with rivals Barcelona.

Barcelona came through their quarter final with ease - beating Shakhtar 6-1 over both legs.

"I don't like the word revenge, but it's a big game for the players, the supporters and for people all over the world.

"At the moment, we are the best two teams in the world. It will make everyone in the world sit up.

"We have to believe we can do it. But that's why I cannot think about playing Manchester United yet. We have to be fully concentrated on beating Barcelona."
