David Beckham has had his loan spell with AC Milan extended until the end of the season after a deal with his club LA Galaxy was worked out.
Beckham will return to Los Angeles for a few months before re-joining Milan at the end of the year. He has taken a salary cut as an effect of the 'timeshare' deal.
Beckham was originally supposed to return to Galaxy on Monday.
The loan move came about as a desire for the 33 year old to keep up his fitness and stake a claim for an England place for the 2010 World Cup campaign.
He has scored 2 goals in 9 Serie A games during his time in Italy.
