Didier Drogba Focused On Bagging Champions League Spot

Didier Drogba believes that the chance of winning the Premiere League title have gone and Chelsea must con concentrate on securing Champions League football for next season.

Chelsea currently lie eight points behind Manchester United but could finish the season in second as they are just two points behind local rivals Arsenal.

Chelsea saw their chances of silverware slip by earlier this month - losing to Manchester United in the Champions League quarter final.

And while Chelsea won't be bringing home any trophies this season Drogba knows it's important to keep playing well to secure their Champions League spot for next season.

Speaking to The Sun Drogba said: "Let's be honest, it is going to be difficult to catch Manchester United but we can put some pressure maybe on Arsenal for second place.

"Let's see, but we have to win our games.

"It was a good afternoon against West Brom. It was good to start winning again and it is important we secure third place."

Chelsea are currently five points clear of Manchester City in fourth and have a chance to extend that lead with a win over Birmingham tomorrow night.
