Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona is cleaning up his act following his latest stint in hospital. The retired sports ace, 46, was admitted to a Buenos Aires hospital last week (ends30MAR07) after contracting hepatitis caused by alcohol.
However, director of the Guemes clinic Hector Pezzella says the soccer star's health is improving and he expects Maradona to correct the errors of his ways once he leaves the hospital.
He says, "I see in him the intention to rehabilitate himself soon. He knows that checking in is for the best.
Meanwhile MARADONA has such an addictive personality it may end up killing him, according to his doctor.
The retired sports ace, 46, was admitted to a Buenos Aires hospital last week (ends30MAR07) after over-indulging in food, alcohol and his latest vice - Havana cigars.
Maradona has been sedated to stop him leaving the hospital.
His doctor ALFREDO CAHE says, "Cocaine is not involved but it is his addictive personality.
"Now there is a new addiction. He's smoking up to four Havana cigars a day. For someone who did not smoke, this is a lot."
