Dirk Kuyt Fears Injury Worst

Dirk Kuyt believes he may have torn his ankle ligament.
The Liverpool striker was in international action earlier in the week for the Netherlands when he was brought off the pitch after landing awkwardly.
Holland were in control of their Euro 2012 match against Sweden, running out 4-1 winners by full time, but Kuyt was taken off just before an hour.
And Kuyt is still waiting to see what the extent of the damage to his ankle is. Speaking to The Sun, Kuyt admits that he fears the worst: "The swelling is so bad that we will only know with any certainty in a few days.
"But I fear the worst. You know your own body and it does not feel good. The doctors have the same feeling, that it's probably torn ankle ligaments. Let's hope they and I are wrong."
And despite being in pain on Tuesday night the striker admits that he was keen to get back in the pitch and help out the national side.
"I was so eager to get on after receiving treatment. It was nice that we were doing so well and closing in on victory.
"But the doctor said no. And when I tried to move the ankle I almost collapsed so he was right to keep me on the sidelines."
The injury will be a huge blow to Liverpool who are back in action on Sunday as they face Everton in the Mersyside derby. The reds currently languish in the relegation zone of the Premier League after a poor start to the season.
