England's poor performance in South Africa has seen them slip to thirteenth in Fifa's world rankings.
Fabio Capello's men crashed out of the tournament in the last sixteen as they were handed a 4-1 thrashing by semi finalists Germany after a poor performance in the group.
Despite an impressive qualifying campaign on the run up to the tournament England struggled from the off and only just made it out of the group as key men such as Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard struggled to perform.
The ranking of thirteenth is England's worst placing since they were ranked eleventh back in 1958, but they went on to lift the World Cup just eight years later.
Spain have been ranked at the top tem in the world after picking up the Euro 2008 and the World Cup in the last two years while Netherlands are second after their run to the final in South Africa.
Despite not being talked about before the tournament Germany were one of the best sides at the World Cup this summer and finished third in the competition and are third in Fifa's standings, which Uruguay fourth.
Uruguay are the highest placed South American side as Argentina and Brazil are fifth and sixth.
Japan find themselves higher than England, in at nine, while the USA find themselves a single place above Capello's men at twelve.
Despite England's poor performance Capello remains as the coach and is looking to bring in younger talent as the national side looks forward to Euro 2012.
