Everton came back from a goal down to reach the FA Cup semi finals for the first time since they won the trophy in 1995.

Middlesbrough took the lead just before the break when David Wheater headed in Matthew Bates' cross. Five minutes after the interval Marouane Fellaini headed home the equaliser and six minutes later Louis Saha headed the winner for Everton from Steven Pienaar's cross.

Everton set up a semi final with Manchester United who earned their place after beating Fulham 4-0. United are now on course for five trophies.

Carlos Tevez got the opener at Fulham, heading in after 20 minutes then added his second from 25 yards 15 minutes later. Andrew Johnson saw his effort for Fulham bundled off the line by Nemanja Vidic.

Rooney added a third for United five minutes after the break and with just nine minutes to go Ji-Sung Park's low finish made it 4-0.

It could be a Manchester United Chelsea final as the two teams were kept apart in the draw. Chelsea secured their semi final place with a 2-0 win at Coventry City.

Some poor defending from Coventry allowed the London club to take the lead after 15 minutes when Didier Drogba got Scott Dan off the ball and shot home.

City fought for an equaliser but Alex secured the win on 72 minutes when he met Ricardo Quaresma's cross and netted the ball.

Chelsea will play either Hull or Arsenal in their semi final as a build up of fixtures means that they are yet to play their quarter final. Arsenal eased their way into it beating Burnley 3-0 in their fifth round tie.

Carlos Vela got the first after 25 minutes after beating three defenders and Eduardo doubled the lead on 51 minutes volleying in off his ankle. With just six minutes left to play Emmanuel Eboue smashed home a third.
