English FA Cup: Middlesbrough force replay after draw

Middlesbrough held Charlton Athletic to a goalless draw in their FA Cup quarterfinal, forcing replay of the game next month.

Boro goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer Thursday made two excellent first-half saves to keep his side in it, stopping good efforts by Hermann Hreidarsson in the first half.

Yakubu headed over for Boro while Matt Holland went close for Charlton and a shot from Jerome Thomas was well-blocked by Ugo Ehiogu late on.

The two sides will now replay on April 12 for a place in the semi-finals.
