Fernando Torres believes that he is still not 100% fit despite scoring the two goals that saw Liverpool beat league leaders Chelsea yesterday.
The club's star striker has been struggling for form since undergoing knee surgery at the end of last season but looks to be getting back to his scoring ways.
And while the striker found the back of the net twice yesterday as they faced Chelsea he believes that he still has work to be done before he is fact to full fitness.
Speaking to the BBC after the match the Spaniard said: It's been difficult but I'm improving. I don't know if I can play my best soon but I will as soon as possible.
"It was a tough end to [last] season for me, difficult in the World Cup, I had a lot of injuries, it was difficult training every day.
"Every game I am feeling better, improving every day.
"It's part of a footballer's life being criticised. Playing for a team like Liverpool, everyone is watching everything you are doing around the world a minute later.
"I know the expectations, I am ready to fight and get my form."
With the win over Chelsea yesterday Liverpool's relegation woes seem to be over as they have climbed to ninth in the Premier League.
