Fernando Torres To Stay At Liverpool

Fernando Torres will be playing in a Liverpool shirt next season as he believes that he is at 'the best club in the country'.
The Spaniard's future looked uncertain after a seventh place finish in the Premiere League earlier this year, which means that they will not be playing Champions League football in the new season.
But while Torres was away on international duty with Spain at the World Cup, Roy Hodgson has taken over as manager at the club from Rafa Benitez and Torres admits he is ready to work alongside the new boss.
Speaking to The Sun the striker said: "I really appreciated the fact that Roy came out to see me while I was on holiday.
"He told me about his plans for the club and what he wanted from me and I appreciated that.
"I hope he will be the right man to reach the targets of Liverpool Football Club and I am really looking forward to working with him.
"This is the best club in the country so the targets and expectations are always high."
Despite all the questions that have been raised over the future Torres in recent weeks, with the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea rumoured to be lining up bids, the Spaniard reveals that he is as committed as ever to the club.
"I am really happy to be back, really happy to stay with all my team-mates.
"My commitment and loyalty to the club and to the fans is the same as it was on my first day when I signed. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead."
Liverpool fans can let out a sigh of relief as Steven Gerrard is also set to stay and Hodgson has already brought in Joe Cole to the club on a free transfer.
