Gareth Barry Plays Down City Rows

Gareth Barry has played down the rows at Manchester City claiming everybody just wants to win.

Manchester City crashed to s surprise 2-1 defeat to Wolves at the weekend, a match which saw Emmanuel Adebayor row with Vincent Kompany on the pitch during the match.

And this is just the most recent clash after Carlos Tevez argued with manager Roberto Mancini when they faced Newcastle and James Milner and Yaya Toure fell out in the clash with Arsenal.

"It is a bit sad really," he told the club's official website. "Every little thing is getting scrutinised. If you were to scrutinise every Premier League match last weekend, or any football match, there will be arguments between players - more so when you are desperate to win.

"We have had two sets of players picked up now by the media saying we are arguing but that is because we are desperate to win. For me that is only a good sign and I am sure the manager has already pointed that out."

And Barry has called on his team-mates to pull together to produce winning results over the coming weeks that will make the right headlines.

He added: "It is important now that we get together even more as a team and work harder. This is a great group of players who are working with the manager and trying to do the right things.

"When things like that are being leaked I am surprised to be reading it really. Hopefully the right results on the pitch will get the right headlines."

After the opening ten games of the season City have taken seventeen points and currently lie fourth in the Premier League table, behind Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
