joe Cole has joined Lille on loan for the rest of the season.
Cole was brought to Anfield on a free transfer from Chelsea by Roy Hodgson last summer but he has failed to make an impact at the club.
It's believed that Aston Villa were also interested in the player but it was announced today that he has joined the French giants.
A statement on Liverpool's official website read: Liverpool announced today it had finalised a deal with Lille OSC for the loan transfer of joe Cole.
"The 29-year old will now join the French champions for the remainder of the current campaign."
Cole has only made eleven league stars for Liverpool and has not featured in the squad so far this season.
