John Terry Says Chelsea Need To 'Man Up'

John Terry has called for his Chelsea side to 'man up' as they attempt to get their season back on track.

The 2010 Premier League holders are currently fifth in the table after an up and down season and were dumped out of the FA Cup at the weekend at the hands of Everton.

The London side are back in action tonight in the Champions League as they face FC Copenhagen in the first leg at the last sixteen stage.

Speaking to Sky Sports Terry said: "We've underachieved this season - now's the time to kick on in the Champions League. At the start of the season our aim was to retain the League and the FA Cup.

"Now we have to man up a bit and take responsibility, to look at our form and character and deliver.

"I've been at Chelsea for a long time and lived through the good and the bad times - and this season has been difficult at times.

"Everyone gets frustrated when we're not winning. But that proves we've still got the hunger and desire.

"It has been stressful and there have been times when I have struggled to sleep.

"It was terrible when we missed out on the Premier League for three years and United won it and that's when I lose sleep, watching other teams lift trophies.

"It will be a disaster if we don't qualify for the Champions League next season and we owe it to the club and to the fans to improve our position in the Premier League.

And Chelsea are looking to move into the top four in the Premier League and will face leaders Manchester United at the weekend.

Chelsea are two points behind fourth place Tottenham Hotspur and twelve points behind United.
