Kenny Dalglish has praised his Liverpool players after they beat Bolton 3-1 calling it ’a pleasure to watch.
Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam both scored their first goals in a Liverpool shirt in what was a great win for the Reds.
They took the full three points and sat at the top of the Premier League at the end of Saturday’s play - but will move to third should Manchester City and Manchester United win this afternoon.
Henderson opened the scoring in the fifteenth minute and Liverpool went into at half time with a 1-0 lead.
But into the second half and Liverpool looked to extend that lead rather than protect what they had and it paid off less than ten minutes later when Martin Skrtel made it 2-0.
A minute later and Charlie Adam showed that his right foot works just as well as the left as he beat Jaaskelainen for 3-0.
Speaking to The Sun the Liverpool boss said: "It was a pleasure to watch.
"We got the result because we worked hard, played together and played for each other.
"To lose a goal at the end maybe puts a dampener on it for 40 seconds or so but that also says a lot."
Luis Suarez may not have got his name on the score sheet but he was a driving force in the match as a string of fantastic crosses kept Liverpool constantly on the attack.
The Premier League is set to take an international break and Liverpool will return to action away to Stoke.
