Pepe Reina Takes Responsibility For Equaliser

Pepe Reina has taken responsibility for the equaliser for Steaua Bucharest in last night's clash in the Europa Cup.

Liverpool were leading 1-0 after just nineteen minutes when Milan Jovanovic found the back of the net.

But Eder Bonfim claimed the equaliser just after the hour, which saw Liverpool go on to draw 1-1.

Speaking to ESPN Reina said: "I thought one of their players was offside for the goal but I've watched replays and it's my fault.

"It's my mistake and I have to handle that and get through.

"He was definitely obstructing me, but I definitely should have reacted much better than I did. I will handle the mistake and improve."

Despite the 1-1 result a draw was enough to see Liverpool progress to the final thirty two of the Europa League competition.

It was a much changed LIverpool side last night as Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher were absent through injury while Fernando Torres, Dirk Kuyt and Raul Meireles were rested.

Liverpool aren't in action again until Monday night when they face Aston Villa at Anfield as they look to build on their 3-0 win over West Ham at the weekend.
