Pepe Reina Wants To Stay At Anfield

Pepe Reina has revealed that he has no desire to leave Liverpool.

Transfer talk has surrounded the Liverpool keeper all season but the twenty eight year old wants to stay at Anfield.

Reina was believed to be wanted by Athletico Madrid after the Spanish club sold David De Gea to Manchester United.

Speaking to The Sun Reina said: "I know Atletico are looking for a goalkeeper, but I won't be changing colours.

"I have five-year contract with the Reds and I'm happy at Liverpool."

Reina also revealed his delight at seeing him compatriot De Gea heading to the North West as he joins United.

"I very much welcome this news because David is a great keeper.

"When it becomes official he is going to start working to prove in the Premier League what a good goalkeeper who is."
