Pompey Accept Spurs Defoe Bid

Portsmouth have accepted Tottenham Hotspurs' bid for Jermain Defoe.
Defoe will have a medical at Spurs today and will then return to his former club.
The striker left White Hart Lane for Pompey a year ago in pursuit of regular first team football. He enjoyed a successful strike partnership there with Peter Crouch.
He has now though decided to follow former Pompey boss to Spurs where he has rumoured to have signed a five year deal.
Defoe scored 15 goals in 31 league appearances for Pompey. He scored 43 goals in 139 Spurs appearances over a four year period.
