Rio Ferdinand 'Gutted' By Fifa Decision

Rio Ferdinand has revealed that he is gutted that England will not be hosting the 2018 World Cup.
Despite the England presentation being heavily praised after David Beckham, David Cameron and Prince William all stepped up to campaign for the tournament the bid suffered a first round exit.
England secured just two votes in the first round of voting to see them eliminated from the race. Russia went on to win, getting all twelve votes that were required in the second round.
And Ferdinand was open about his feelings towards the decision. Writing on his Twitter account the current England captain said: "Wow, Russia will host the 2018 World Cup, soooo gutted. What more could we have done? What did we do wrong?
"Prince William, the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, Becks - all that effort and we still get overlooked.
"I don't care where the World Cup goes after we lost. I'm just devastated it isn't here in England.
"I'm sooo gutted I can't take my lil men to a World Cup game to watch England in England. An experience missed out on there."
And the Manchester United star was quick to point the finger at Panorama, which aired earlier this week accusing Fifa of corruption.
"The timing of the Panorama programme was bad taste. Fact."
