Roy Hodgson Leaves Liverpool

Roy Hodgson has parted ways with Liverpool and Kenny Dalglish has been put in charge of the club until the end of the season.
It has been a difficult reign for Hodgson since he joined Liverpool in the summer having won only seven of twenty league matches this season.
Pressure increased on Hodgson in mi-week when his side lost 3-1 to Blackburn, they now find themselves in twelfth place in the Premier League.
A statement from Hodgson on the club’s website read: "I have found the last few months some of the most challenging of my career.
"I am very sad not to have been able to put my stamp on the squad, to be given the time to bring new players into the club in this transfer window and to have been able to be part of the rebuilding process at Liverpool."
The Liverpool fans have been calling for the appointment of Anfield hero Dalglish all season and new owners Fenway Sports Group have brought him in in a bid to steady the ship.
Since Hodgson took over from Rafael Benitez in the summer he spent £20 million bringing Danny Wilson, Brad Jones, Raul Meireles and Paul Konchesky to the club as well as Joe Cole on a free transfer.
Liverpool did look to have turned things around with a win over Chelsea earlier in the season but recent losses to Wolves and Blackburn has seen them once again slip down the table.
Dalglish will be in charge tomorrow for Liverpool’s FA Cup clash with Manchester United.
