Steven Gerrard Wants Better Finish Than Seventh

Steven Gerrard has revealed that Liverpool would not be happy with a seventh place finish this season.
Liverpool secured their second consecutive victory last night as they enjoyed a 1-0 win over Fulham at Anfield. The win sees them move up to seventh in the Premier League on thirty two points.
And while Gerrard is hopeful that Liverpool can not put their problems behind them and continue to move up the table they are five points behind Stoke in sixth.
Speaking to The Sun the Liverpool captain said:"We want more than seventh, seventh's not acceptable at this club.
"If you look where we were a couple of weeks ago, of course we're happy being seventh.
"But we've got Stoke next and it's important that we keep this run going and try to get another three points and move up the table even more.
"We're not happy with seventh."
Liverpool are now not in action until 2nd February when they face Stoke at Anfield before playing Chelsea, who they beat earlier this season, at Stamford Bridge.
