Tevez Wants Torres At City

Carlos Tevez what Fernando Torres to join him at Manchester City.

The striker joined City last summer from Manchester United and he believes that with Torres up front with him they could be the best strike force in the Premiere League.

Tevez told the Sun: "Torres would definitely make us better. He's one of the top strikers in the world and I would love to have him as a team-mate.

"Last year we ended up contesting the Champions League places. I have no doubt that this year we will achieve that aim and fight for the title.

"The club will pick up reinforcements and this will make us stronger.

"I know I've never regretted coming to City. It's the best decision I ever made."

Torres' future has been uncertain since Liverpool finished seventh in the Premiere League last season, missing out on the chance to play Champions League football.

But since then Roy Hodgson has taken over manager at Anfield and has insisted that he does not want to see Torres leave the club.

Despite having clubs such as Manchester City and Chelsea interested in signing the striker Hodgson was confident that Torres would stay.
