Wayne Rooney Will Never Quit England Team

Wayne Rooney has never considered quitting the England team and believes that there are a couple more World Cups in him.
The Manchester United striker came under fire in the South Africa during the World Cup this summer when he was unable to deliver the performance that was expected from him.
He was criticised further when he hit out at the travelling fans that booed the England squad during their dismal display in South Africa.
But Rooney has admitted that he has never considered turning his back on the national team. Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Rooney said: "I have never thought about quitting.
"I am 24. Steven is a bit older than me but I think there's a couple of World Cups left in me yet.
"I'm very proud. For me, to play for England is the pinnacle of my career. In tournaments, we need to do better and I need to do better.
"I'm still young. I've still got time to put things right - and hopefully I'll do that."
But the 2010 season has so far not gone well for Rooney as the striker still looks out of sorts, both for England and Manchester United.
And while Rooney may be struggling for confidence and form the striker still wants to be an England success and bring home a trophy for the country.
"I want to get as many caps as I can. But the most important thing is to try and get a piece of silverware with England, which would be the biggest achievement of my career if I managed to do so."
