Xavi has called onto his Spanish teammates to not forget to enjoy the World Cup final on Sunday.
The Spanish were playing in their first World Cup semi final last night, after seeing off Paraguay in the last eight, and they were bidding to make it to their maiden World Cup final.
And it was Xavi's spot on corner that saw Puyol head the ball home for a 1-0 over the much fancied Germany. And while Xavi believes that they have a great chance of beating Holland on Sunday he wants his side to enjoy the experience.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match Xavi said: "Let's enjoy the final," said Xavi.
"We dedicate this victory to Spain. If we play on Sunday like we did today, we will have a great chance."
The midfielder believes that being able to play their own style of football, they are famous for their passing game, is what saw them win the game as they dominated possession and restricted Germany to only a handful of chances.
"We played as we wanted to. Now it is a final against Holland, a great team playing great football with great players in midfield and up front.
"We will have to impose our personality and football on them."
It's the second major final that Spain have reached in as many year as they lifted the Euro 2008 trophy, beating Germany 1-0 in the final, as they look to shake off the tag of footballs under achievers.
They will face Holland on Sunday in the final and a new name will be added to the list of World Cup winners.
