Fitness key for Bradley

New Swansea boss Bob Bradley says improving the fitness of his players is one of his top priorities.

Bradley is gearing up for his first game in charge of the Swans at Arsenal on Saturday but the former USA boss has already found one area he is keen to strengthen following his arrival 11 days ago as Francesco Guidolin's replacement.

The 58-year-old American wants to work on the fitness levels of his Swansea squad as he feels there is room for improvement.

"Getting fitness levels back up is 100 per cent a target," he told reporters on Friday.

"There are different styles of managers, everybody finds a way that works for them, but I still believe that football fitness and sharpness comes largely from training.

"The players have been incredibly respectful towards Francesco, but I think you would also find that they felt that kind of training had gone away a little bit."

Former US fitness chief Pierre Barrieu is set to join Bradley's backroom staff at the Liberty Stadium as the new manager bids to put his own mark on the Swans.
