Foxes star admits extra pressure

Leicester striker Leonardo Ulloa says his side must learn to handle the additional pressure of being the Premier League champions.

The Foxes have managed just eight points from their opening seven Premier League games and they are already 10 points behind current pacesetters Manchester City.

Boss Claudio Ranieri indicated the additional workload of Champions League football is having an impact after Sunday's stalemate with Southampton, but Ulloa feels their opponents are more motivated as they are the English champions.

“It’s so difficult, in every game every team wants to beat us because we are the champions,” he told LCFC TV. “We need to consider that and it’s more difficult than the last year. We need to keep going and work. We are improving in training and in every game."

Leicester's next fixture is at Chelsea after the international break and Ulloa has urged the players who are not with their national sides to prepare well for another tough test at Stamford Bridge.

He added: “Some players are going with their national teams now and the others rest but we need to think about the next game.”
