Middlesbrough's George Friend believes his side have adapted quickly to life in the Premier League but says there is more to come.
Boro secured promotion from the Championship last season and have made a steady start to the new campaign with six points from seven games.
The Riverside Stadium outfit ended a run of three successive league defeats with a draw at West Ham last time out.
Friend feels Boro are still adjusting to the rigours of top-flight football but he is satisfied with how their season has begun and expects further improvement in the weeks ahead.
“It is very different and everyone is adjusting”, the defender told the Gazette Live. “When a team gets promoted you have to adjust quickly but I think we’ve got a good amount of points, maybe we should of had a few more, but we’ve played some tough teams as well.
“We’ve got a good squad and a good spirit and as we go on the players and the team will learn quickly.”
