Tony Pulis has described Sam Field as 'a wonderful talent' after he signed a new-and-improved four-year contract at West Brom.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who joined the Baggies at the age of eight and has worked his way through the club's academy, celebrated picking up last term's Academy Player of the Season award by making his Premier League debut as an 86th-minute substitute in the final day 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
Field represented England's Under-18s in a two-match tour of South Korea during the summer and has since been called up to play for the Under-19s in friendlies against Bulgaria and Belgium, while he has made three more appearances for the Baggies this season.
As a result the club have moved to hand him improved terms on the professional deal he initially signed in June, keeping him on board until summer 2020.
Pulis said on the club's website: "Sam is a wonderful talent who has made great progress so far.
"He has a very exciting future and we are all absolutely delighted to see him sign this contract.
"It's now all about continuing to work hard and develop."
