Pulis' hint over role for Chamakh

Pulis' hint over role for Chamakh

Baggies head coach Tony Pulis hopes trialist Marouane Chamakh can "push people to play" by reaching full fitness within a month.

The Moroccan international has been training with Pulis' squad for several weeks and can sign for the club outside the transfer window after becoming a free agent over the summer.

But Pulis has indicated that he is still to make a final decision on whether to sign the striker he worked with at Crystal Palace

The 58-year-old told the Express & Star: "Chamakh has got real quality in that 10 position and he can score goals but we will see.

"It would be lovely to think that in a month's time he could be at the level he was at Palace. If he was at that level he would certainly be pushing people to play."
