QPR reject Pulis reports

QPR director of football Les Ferdinand has denied claims the Championship club could make a move for West Brom boss Tony Pulis.

Pulis' future at the Hawthorns remains unclear as the club are in the middle of a takeover, with Guochuan Lai expected to complete his purchase of Albion in the coming days.

The Baggies head coach was pictured sitting alongside Ferdinand at QPR's 6-0 home defeat against Newcastle on Tuesday which led to speculation he could be heading to Loftus Road if Rangers decide to axe current boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Ferdinand has now rejected the speculation and insists QPR are not looking to replace the Dutchman.

"Tony Pulis came to the game the other night, which is a normal thing for a manager to do when his team aren’t playing," he told West London Sport. "I saw him and sat next to him. That’s it.

“The result on Tuesday was obviously unacceptable but I can categorically say we are not looking to change manager and are not considering anyone else.”
