Burnley continue to be linked with a move for former West Brom star Stephane Sessegnon, but have yet to wrap up a deal.
The 32-year-old is currently without a club after leaving West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season, and is able to move outside of the transfer window.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche managed to draft in a number of new signings just before the transfer window closed, but he is still light in attack and has been checking out who is available on free transfers.
Sessegnon would fit the bill perfectly as he has Premier League experience and would be able to slot straight in and provide strong competition within the Clarets squad.
There has been talk of Marseille making a move but a deal has yet to materialise and the Benin international is still open to offers, with Burnley yet to make their move.
Dyche appears to be in no rush and that will leave the door open for other clubs to swoop in.
