Could Sebastian Vettel Snatch Jenson Button’s F1 Crown?

Although many of us thought Jenson Button was unbeatable in this year’s Grand Prix, it looks like Sebastian Vettel has proven that’s there’s still a race (excuse the pun) for the driver’s title in this year’s competition.

After Red Bull’s huge win at Silverstone at the weekend, combined with Jenson’s poor finish in sixth place at his home circuit, a huge question mark has found itself looming over the Brawn team, who finally face a challenge for the gong.

Jenson still has a massive 25 point lead over his Red Bull rival, we really could have a chase for the title on our hands as we wonder if Sebastian will chip away at the epic lead race by race and take the 2009 Grand Prix right down to the wire.

We know Brawn have been saying the lack of pace at the weekend was due to their cars performance in cold weather, but it didn’t seem to slow down Rubens Barrichello too much as he finished in third… yet with the notoriously cold and wet Nurburgring circuit in just over a fortnight, we could see another poor finish for Jenson.

The again, we wonder if it was Red Bull's aerodynamic upgrade package for Silverstone which put them back in the running, and whether this new feature could be what give Vettel and the Mark Webber a fighting chance over the next few months.

One thing’s for sure, with Sebastian Vettel being only a few days younger than me, if things don’t work out for him in the Grand Prix, I’d still marry him.
