Jenson Button becomes the 2009 Formula One champion

Jenson Button won the drivers' championship with a superb tactical drive in a dramatic Brazilian Grand Prix.

The race was won by Mark Webber driving a Red Bull.

Brawn's English driver started from 14th but executed a number of superb early overtaking moves before finishing the race in fifth.

BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica came second ahead of McLaren's Lewis Hamilton with six drivers retiring in Sao Paulo.

Brawn also clinched the constructors' championship in their debut season.
