Fernando Alonso Has Time To Win Word Title With Ferarri

Fernando Alonso says he is not concerned that he hasn’t yet won a world title with Ferrari.

The Spaniard joined Ferrari two years ago and while he got close to the title in 2010 the team were well off the pace last season as Alonso only managed fourth.

I'm 30 years old and there are guys racing at 42 or 43, so I guess every year I will improve a little bit.

But Alonso believes that he has many years of racing left in him and his experience will work in his favour.

Speaking to Sky Sports Alonso said: "Not really, I've still got many years to come. I'm 30 years old and there are guys racing at 42 or 43, so I guess every year I will improve a little bit.

"Maybe as you get older you lose some speed, but you gain experience so it compensates."

Alonso and Ferrari struggled to do battle with Red Bull and McLaren last season, managing just one win.

That win came at the British Grand Prix and while Alonso was regularly on the podium it was never enough to challenge for the title.

The 2011 Formula One season gets underway in March with the first race in Melbourne.
