Kvyat expects contract talks

Daniil Kvyat is confident talks about an extension with Toro Rosso will take place sooner rather than later.

Kvyat has endured a disappointing season so far, having been demoted from Red Bull to their sister team just four races in after a major incident in the Russian Grand Prix.

The 22-year-old has found it hard since returning to Toro Rosso and just two top-10 finishes in Spain and Great Britain have been recorded from the last 10 outings.

Speculation surrounding the Russians future is growing every day and the poor form is leading many to believe he will not be kept on past the end of the campaign.

GP2 championship leader Pierre Gasly is currently the man being linked with a driver’s seat but Kvyat is still adamant negotiations regarding a new deal will start soon.

"When the moment will come, we will talk. It hasn't come yet and whenever it comes I'm pretty sure it will happen," he said. "It's a little bit between me and Red Bull. I've always been loyal to them and now I'm giving my best for Toro Rosso."

Kvyat will be hoping to put in a strong performance in Singapore this weekend, with the first two practice sessions taking place on Friday.
