Andrew Strauss believes that his England side yet to reach their peak.
The England captain led his side to a historic 3-1 Ashes win over Australia yesterday, the first time that England have beat them down under in twenty four years.
It has been a superior batting and bowling performance from the England players and Strauss is thrilled by the win.
Speaking to the BBC Strauss said: "It is a very good achievement to come out here and win.
"But the majority of the team are going to be hitting their peak time in the next couple of years."
And while English cricket has much to celebrate Strauss believes that the side can still improve their game.
"We've always got to be thinking about how we can improve and get better and hopefully one or two guys will be sticking their hands up and saying 'I can add something to this team as well'.
"While I'm captain of the England side, you're not doing your job if you're not looking ahead to what's coming up and trying to keep the guys improving and going forward."
"People will now have high expectations of us, and we're going to have to work very hard to live up to them. But we're as confident as I've ever seen in an England team."
Going into today England needed just three more wickets to claim victory as Australia failed to get close to their first innings core of 644.
England won the fifth and final test by an innings and eighty three runs to take a 3-1 win over Australia.
