Carolina Kluft will retire after the 2012 Olympics.

Kluft the Olympic title back in 2004 as well as world titles in 2003, 2005 and 2007.

But she turned her back on the heptathlon in 2007 to focus on the long jump. However she missed out on the world's two years ago because of injury she is looking to get back on the podium later this summer.

But 2012 will be the last time we see her compete as she has shown an interest in coaching.

Speaking to a Swedish radio station the 2004 champion said: "I've been competing in athletics for a long time even if I'm not so old. There are so many other things I want to do.

"Some people start to think of retirement when the motivation goes but I've always felt that I wanted to have a final destination, that now I'll do something different in life. I think I'm done with athletics.

"I think I'll still be able to motivate people, but maybe in other fields and not in sport. I just don't find training fun at all.

"Thinking about what you must do to be as good as possible doesn't interest me."
