Daie Greene Is 2/1 For Gold In London

Dai Greene’s victory in the World Championships has lead William Hill to shorten his odds of winning gold at London 2012 from 3/1 to 2/1 and he is 100/1 to do so in a world record time.

He has been slashed from 33/1 to 10/1 to win this year’s Sports Personality and is a 7/1 shot for next year’s award.
 
Greene may still have some participation in the World Championships and could feature in the Men’s 4x400m relay for which William Hill make Team GB 16/1 to bag gold.
 
"He has long been touted as a poster boy for British athletics, however, having won Britain’s first gold in Daegu he now has the hopes of a nation resting on his shoulders ahead of next year’s Games," said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
 
Hannah England grabbed a shock silver medal in the women’s 1500m and Hills make her 14/1 to get gold in London.
