Abi Oyepitan added to her silver medal in the 200m as she brought home England's 4x100m women as they cruised to the gold medal.
It was Laura Turner on the third leg who won the title for the squad and a safe hand over to Oyepitan left the silver medalist to ease home in a time of 44.18 second.
Katherine Endacott was on the first leg, it's been a great championship for the sprinter who has been upgraded to a silver medal in the 100m, and she had a smooth handover to Montell Douglas.
Douglas powered down the back straight before handing over to Laura Turner, a sprinter with a point to prove after being disqualified in the 100m final.
And Turner showed the world what she could do as she powered away from the rest of the field to put Oyepitan in a very strong position.
And the sizeable lead that England had built up remained in tact as Oyepitan brought the baton home for an impressive gold medal. Ghana piped India to the silver but the home nation did pick up the bronze.
Speaking to Yahoo Sports Oypeitan said: "This has been an amazing championships and that lap of honour was great.
"I really wanted to come out and win this one so I'm so happy for all of the girls I was so nervous because I haven't done relay for about six years.
"These Games have been incredible and going home with two medals is amazing."
And there was more medal success in the 4x400m as the women brought home a bronze medal. And there was also bronze for Kate Dennison in the pole vault.
