Fran Halsall's Olympic Preparations Going Well

Fran Halsall has revealed that everything is ‘on track’ ahead of the summer Olympics.
Halsall has enjoyed major medal success at the European Championships and Commonwealth Games in recent years and she is looking to further that success in from of a home crowd in London.
And the twenty one year old admits that training has been going well over the winter and she is preparing for the trials later this year.
Speaking to Eurosport Halsall said: "Everything seems to be on track at the moment in terms of getting ready for the Games.
"I've been back training since August, and built up since then, getting fully into the swing of things. I just need to keep working hard and stay healthy over Christmas to prepare for the trials in March.”
And while she may already have medals and records under her belt Halsall and her coach have bee focusing on elements of her races that she needed to improve.
"There's been a big focus on what I need to improve on at the moment and we've been doing a lot of underwater fly kicking which I hope will help me improve on that.
“It's always hard to work on your weaknesses because you hate them to begin with. But I've put a lot of emphasis on it so I'm hoping that I can get them better.
"I know that this year I'm going to train as hard as I possibly can, and once I've done that I can't do any more. It's always nice to compete at home because the support can really give you a lift."
The Olympic trials get underway in March.
