Graeme Swann Tips England For Great Things

Graeme Swann has revealed that being the number 1 test side is not enough and believes this England side have the potential to be one of the best.

England are 2-0 in their test series against India and need to win the series by two tests to knock them from the top of the world rankings.

But Swann believes that the current England side can go on to bigger and better things. 

He wrote in his column for The Sun: "Reaching No 1 in the world is not the end of the journey. It will be only the beginning.

We are not there yet, of course, and our prime objective at the moment is making sure we are fully focused for the Third Test at Edgbaston next Wednesday.

Andrew Strauss and Andy Flower will stop any of us taking our eyes off the ball.

We must make sure we win the series from being 2-0 up and things such as rankings take care of themselves.

Yet we make no bones about wanting to be the top team and the exciting thing is the guys who are performing right now will be around for many years."

England are back in action against India on Wednesday for the third test at Edgbaston - a win would secure them the series as well as the #1 ranking.
