Mark Cavendish Favourite To Win Sports Personality of the Year

2011 has been a fantastic year for British sport, particularly on the golf course, but it is Mark Cavendish who is the current favourite.

Cavendish, the winner of both the Green jersey & Rainbow jersey this year, is 6/5 with Darren Clarke 7/4 and Rory Mcllroy a 7/1 shot.
 
"Winning the Open championship would normally make you a certainty for the Sports Personality Of The Year but Mark Cavendish’s achievements have been genuinely exceptional and we believe he is the man to beat," said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
