New Orleans defensive tackle Hollis Thomas will miss the rest of the NFL regular season after violating the league's substance abuse policy. He landed a four-game ban after failing a drugs test for steroids. He will be available for the play-offs if the NFC South-leading Saints (8-4) progress.
ESPN reported the suspension stems from asthma medication Thomas was taking twice a day when the test was taken.
