It’s fast, it’s furious, the new era of Hockey has arrived. Do you crave the rush of a team sport, but can’t find the time to commit to one? Now there's a game that fits around your hectic lifestyle; Rush Hockey is here!

Weekly Rush Hockey taster sessions have been designed to inject excitement and adrenaline back into the lives of hockey players across the country. A network of leagues and regular sessions will then be established in the New Year.

Developed by the England Hockey Board (EHB), Rush Hockey is set to attract a new generation of player.

Not only will it welcome all abilities but past and present, male and female hockey players will enjoy the thrill of the new format, in the way that hundreds of recreational players have become hooked on 5-a-side football.

Holly Woodford, Development Director at The England Hockey Board, the sports official National Governing Body, says: 'Rush Hockey is just what people across the UK need to remind them how much fun the sport can be.

'It’s a great way to play whether you are new to the sport or play regularly. It tackles lack of spare time with shorter 40 minute games. It smashes through fitness worries with smaller pitches.

'It’s indoors, it’s outdoors, it’s 5 a-side or 4 a-side. Players can get all the team spirit, huddles and thrills whenever and wherever they want.'

Rush Hockey is furiously fast, fun and simple to play. Woodford concludes: 'Grab your stick and join the game now; jump onto Facebook and chat to fellow players.'

Before the end of the year, 120 sites throughout the UK will provide 360 opportunities to experience the rush of the game.

Whether you join as a team or an individual, registration is quick, convenient and simple. Find out more at www.rushhockey.co.uk
