Usain Bolt is once again grabbing all the headline at the Berlin World Championships as he won 200m gold in a new record.
Earlier in the week the popular Jamaican played down his chances of breaking the world record as he complained of fatigue.
But there was no sign of tiredness last night as he blasted out of the block to post a time of 19.19 seconds, destroying his 19.30 world record he set in Beijing.
The rest of the field were a long way behind as Alonso Edwards claimed the silver and American Wallace Spearmon the bronze.
Bolt now becomes the first man to hold both the 100m and 200m Olympic and World title simultaneously.
After the race he told the BBC: I can definitely say I didn't expect that because I was a little bit tired.
"I said let's try because people are really looking out for this, I said it won't hurt to try. So I tried really hard and now I'm really tired.
"Maybe next time I should just run the 200m or the 100m alone. My form was going backwards. I wasn't running upright. It wasn't a good race but it was a fast one."
The Olympic stadium was packed last night as everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of the most famous man in athletics and be part of a historic race.
This latest feat on the track comes just days after he broke the 100m world record as he won gold. He will be back on the track this weekend as part of the Jamaican 4x100m team, who are the favourite for yet another gold.
And it was a night for Jamaica as Melaine Walker added a world 400m hurdles title to the Olympic gold that she won last year.
Walker posted a time of 52.42 seconds, just missing out on the world record, to deny pre race favourite Lashinda Demus.
Josanne Lucas took the bronze.
