Charl Schwartzel has described winning the Master as a 'phenomenal day'.
The South African was in fine form for the first hole of the final as he shot a round of sixty six to finish -14, two shot clear of Jason Day and Adam Scott.
Rory McIlroy went into the final afternoon -12 and four shots clear but as his game stared to crumble Schwartzel along with Day, Scott, Donald, Woods and Cabrera all made their move.
Schwartzel had started the day four shots off the lead but an eagle on the first hole paved the way for his success.
Speaking to Sky Sports he said: "It was just a phenomenal day. There were so many roars and the atmosphere was incredible.
"I was getting tight coming down the 15th. Adam Scott was making birdies and I needed to do something.
"But I managed to hit really good iron shots made some really good putts coming in.
"Walking up 18 was such a special feeling. I only had a one-shot lead, so you don't want to get too excited about it. You've still got to win the golf tournament. But it just really felt good.
"I don't think that I have ever done so much praying on a golf course in my life!"
Schwartzel becomes only the third South African to wear the Green Jacket.
