Ian Poutler has admitted that he cannot wait for the start of the Ryder Cup and is delighted to have been drawn against Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker in the fourballs.
Poulter stepped onto the green this morning alongside Ryder Cup rookie Ross Fisher and they were one up at the end of three holes.
But their rhythm was interrupted by the weather as rain stopped play after just two hours, organisers are still hopeful that the players will get back out on the course at some point this afternoon.
Speaking to Sky Sports he said: "Tiger and Stricker - if ever there was a match you are going to want to play in, it is against their best two players.
"The roar on that first tee will be sensational.
"I cannot wait to hear it and cannot wait to get pumped for it. I cannot wait to give them some feedback.
"They are two world-class players and it's going to be a hell of a match. I cannot wait.
"They (the crowd) are going to give us some electricity. Hopefully we can respond to that and give them some
Poulter is playing on his third Ryder Cup team, having been part of the 2004 and 2008 squad.
